Thematic Programmes
The Centre focuses on three thematic programmes:
Environmental economics and sustainable development
Policy and project design, evaluation and support
Sustainable rural development
These thematic programmes are carried out at four spatial levels: local, national, transboundary and regional level.
In addition, CAR has been involved in several global and regional networks and organisations. These include the Global Environmental Change and Food System Programme (GECAFS ) and the Global Change System for Analysis, Research and Training (START ). CAR is also a member of WaterNet .
